I had a similar problem, but once they uninstalled Geforce and reinstalled it, it seemed to work after that. The way i see it, why should you be spending your time and money on troubleshooting problems like this, they take enough money from already make them earn their $$$. You have a 1070, so have you tried different ports on the card? Could be a faulty port or cable.īut this sounds like perhaps the GeForce software is hanging when its trying to load, i would perhaps contact NVidia's live chat and get them to connect to your PC to fix it, thats what i do. I have set my power settings to Ryzen Balanced and all power saving or hibernate options are turned off. Making sure all drivers are updated, BIOS revision for Ryzen 2nd gen came out on the 17th of this month which I have yet to update to but I had this issue before that as well. Tried turning it off and back on for a boot cycle.īlowing out the system in case of dust build up. I've triple checked cables to make sure everything is plugged in. There is no error code I'm aware of for this issue. Have various USB devices plugged in (Mouse, Microphone, Keyboard, Speakers) Misc: NZXT AC-HUEPS-M1 Hue+ (LED Controller) + Two NZXT AER RGB Fans ![]() HDD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB 2.5 inch SSD, Samsung 850 Evo 250GB 2.5 inch SSD, Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB Mechanical Drive Ram: Galax 16GB Kit (8GB x2) 3600MHZ (DOCP Default of 3200MHZ) CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 AIO Liquid Cooler My computer specifications are as follows: My computer also was working fine without this problem for about a year prior and I only seem to have noticed this when I did my most recent Windows 10 fresh install which is also when Microsoft rolled out the new creators update. When I can actually get past this problem my computer works fine with the monitors showing input for until I power off the system. I can usually get past this problem after one or two boot attempts, but each time it fails I have to flick the main power switch on my power supply for each boot attempt which is not ideal. When I boot the system up and it brings me to the Windows 10 login screen shortly after that my monitor goes blank almost as if it lost video input from my graphics card however, the whole computer is still powered on and it also refuses to let me manually shut it off by pressing and holding the power button on my computer case. I'm at a loss to a problem I've been having with my main gaming PC. I think NVidia doesnt truely care about quality anymore and because they are a massive corporation now they dont care for their customers, which is why i dont spend more then roughly 20mins troubleshooting things anymore i just contact them cause im sick and tired of the headaches. i have never ever needed to contact support from win2000 to win7, but since running win10 i have needed to contact NVidia about roughly 6-8 times just for random dum shit. ![]() ![]() So ya, as it turns out that i feel downloading their drivers is like gambling, when you download the latest driver its either going to work or its not. It turns out that the driver update is having issues and they told me to wait for the next update to come and dont use this latest drivers. It wouldnt surprize me that it could be that, i had just recently downloaded the latest driver and it blacked out my second monitor thats powered by a 630 GPU, i noticed that the NVidia software wasnt reconizing my gpu, so after about 10mins of troubleshooting i decided to contact NVidia support live chat. I'm honestly surprised that it seems CAM was causing this problem, although I can't really say anything conclusive for right now. I will contact NVIDIA as you mentioned if I see this shit happen again as I re-boot the system from normal use. Just today I was uninstalling some software that I know has some hardware dependencies (because why not) and after removing NZXT's CAM Software and restarting once I didn't seem to have this problem for at least two boot attempts (haven't had to reboot since). I tried booting into safe mode per recommendation of a previous poster here to try and determine if this is a hardware or software problem and in safe mode I didn't seem to have the problem. ![]() I have two monitors connected and had some spare cables to try in the four connection ports for the GPU (1 HDMI + 3 DP) and didn't matter what combination of port or cable I tried I was able to replicate the problem.
